You can make the mask by soaking 50 grams of red lentils overnight in a bowl of water. Then take a blender or a food processor to make a pate. Apply the paste evenly on your face and leave it on for about 20 minutes on the face. Rinse the mask using cold water and pat dry your skin with a towel. 

Do not overuse it, as this can cause skin damage if not used as directed

3. Black Tea Water

Black tea can be used to lighten dark skin and helps in getting rid of the dark spots caused by acne. It can be applied twice a day and can show results in weeks.

You can try this as a treatment at home by using by adding black tea leaves to a cup of boiling water. You can steep it for two hours and strain it later to remove the leaves. To apply it soak a cotton ball in tea water and apply it to the areas where there is hyperpigmentation. It is best to apply it twice a day. You can repeat it 6 days a week for at least four weeks.  

4. Green tea extract

Green tea can have a depigmentation effect when it is applied to the skin. You can buy green tea extract and apply it to the skin as directed. It is also a good remedy to apply the green tea bags to the dark spots for getting the lightening effect. 

If you want to try this remedy, follow these steps.

Steep a green tea bag in boiled water for three to five minutes. Remove the tea bag from the water and let it cool. You do not want to burn your skin. Rub the tea bag on the skin where there are dark patches and repeat this twice a day till you get the results.  

5. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is full of aloin which is a depigmentation compound that is great in lightening the skin and helps with hyperpigmentation immensely. You can use aloe vera on your skin easily. It can be used easily. One can use it on the pigmented area before bed. Rinse it in the morning the next day with warm water. Repeat it every day until your skin color improves.
